Pumpkin Spiced Lattes for Human & Hound

Delicious pumpkin spiced lattes for you and your dog

Our favourite season of the year has arrived, not only because Lola LOVES to play in the fallen leaves but also because the nights are drawing in which means cosy nights in front of the fire after long walks. Reasons not to like October: Muddy paws and dog baths, haha!

Did you know that pumpkin is not only ok for dogs to eat but is actually a superfood - It's packed with nutrients and really low in calories, and of course it’s the perfect autumnal treat for our dogs.

Pumpkin contains potassium, an electrolyte essential for muscle recovery after exercise. It’s also full of immune-boosting vitamin C plus a great prebiotic, so good for your dogs digestive health.

A pumpkin spiced latte is on everyones must have list this month (and also seems to be taking over everyones instagram feeds with the perfect flat lay). So can you imagine our excitement when we found a recipe from none other than Tails website? It was too good to be true, so we thought we'd share it with you all!

Watch the full video on tails website here.

Here's the recipe! (taken from Tails.com)

This recipe makes:

3 – 4 lattes (depending on the size of your pup)

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp goat or coconut milk
  • 120g pumpkin puree
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of coconut or goat milk yoghurt (optional)

Method

  1. Put all your ingredients into a blender and mix for about a minute – or until nice and frothy
  2. Pour some of the mix into a small cup or bowl
  3. Top with coconut or goat milk yoghurt
  4. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days
  5. Ice cubes to serve

Bone Appetit!!! 🦴
