We're a husband and wife duo with an adventure loving, leaf hunting, river dwelling, live wire of a tornado, blue merle Border Collie. We love exploring the forests, woods, and mountains of Wales, our home. You may bump into us as whilst we are out scouting new treks and paths, camping, and hunting for new adventures. The Wildbarc story began in 2020 whilst visiting Emily's mum. Whilst helping out with the gardening we ventured into the shed for some tools and discovered a pile of used climbing rope, covered in cobwebs and dust. After shaking off the cobwebs and blowing away the dust, we were left with something that resembled an exceptionally long dog lead. Emily's brother is a climbing enthusiast, so after him showing us a few super strong knots we started to chat about how we could add some final touches and turn this once loved climbing rope into a durable long lasting dog lead for our Lola, that would not only withstand the toughest of pullers, but could be washed and most importantly safe for our beautiful pooch.

We made several prototypes with a few fails and learned lots, however, we didn't give up and after some heavy testing, we had our first fully functioning dog lead! A proud day for us and an instant hit with Lola. We have Emily's brother to thank for letting us pinch his climbing rope, thanks, Jack!

For the following six months we added more styles to our collection, handing them out to friends and family so we could get some feedback. Each lead is Lola approved, for every lead we make Lola has one too. Our entire collection has had the stamp of approval from our head of product testing and Chief Barketing Officer and needless to say she must have the largest lead collection in the whole of Wales!

All Wildbarc rope leads are handcrafted and assembled on the green green grass of Wales and come with a Wildbarc branded 12KN carabiner. Our collection of leads are made from new climbing ropes but watch this space as we are constantly testing the possibilities when using retired climbing ropes.

Since we launched initially with climbing rope leads we've now expanded our ranges to include recycled ropes, travel bowls, treat pouches, collars and canvas leads. All handmade by us and each very unique. When owning a Wildbarc item you really do own one of a kind.
